bp Young Adventurers
The 2018 camps were action-packed – providing leadership development opportunities for all
At the camp, you'll take part in various team-building exercises, which focus on enhancing leadership development skills through a variety of physical challenges such as climbing, raft building, kayaking and more.
The adventure training camps have been held annually since 2000. Each is facilitated by a team of mentors, known as the BP Guardians, who are previous graduates of the programme.
To apply, you must be a member of an educational institute and aged between 16 and 22. To apply, contact your GCC college or university for an application form.
Participants should be physically fit, with no health issues, have basic swimming skills and must be suited to and flexible in a camp environment.
Parental approval is required for all participants under the age of 18. Because this is a unique experience, registration is limited to first-year participants.
In 2019-2020, bp Young Adventurers weekend camps were held on:
Each camp started on a Thursday evening and ended on the Saturday afternoon.

Safety is always our top priority. Safety starts from the time students step onto the bp bus to the moment they fly home.
We require a safety briefing prior to departing on the bus; we require that all students wear seatbelts; and we require another safety briefing upon arrival at the camp.
Additionally, we provide students with proper safety attire and we test our equipment regularly. We also have HSE instructors and guardians on site at all times.
bp is solely responsible for the students only during their stay at the camp. We strongly discourage students from extending their stay in the UAE.
We will only allow exceptions in extreme circumstances. Clear approval from the parents and college will be required.
bp Oman’s social investment programme is a unique model that works toward serving and empowering local Omani capabilities in driving Oman towards a self-sufficient and progressive future.
The bpYA is one of many initiatives that bpP financially supports each year. It focuses on three main themes: enterprise development, education and energy sustainability.

bp representatives will welcome students to the camp on the first day and brief them on BP’s business operations in the Middle East, its sponsorship of the camp and why the programme is important for the youth.
Additionally, bp representatives will engage in discussions with the students about their career aspirations and their future.
bp representatives should book their flights and hotel accommodation using the approved agency.
bp will advise on the preferred/approved hotel in Fujirah and arrange airport transportation as well as a car from the hotel to the camp.
